4 PORT CABLE TV HDTV DIGITAL AMPLIFIER INTERNET MODEM SIGNAL BOOSTER INTERNET AMP

May 9, 2009 by admin

This is a brand new, four (4) port cable television drop amplifier, just like the ones that your local cable company uses to correct their system’s shortcomings. This new model packs a powerful punch in a compact, easy-to-install package! By connecting these fantastic signal boosters to the drop cable coming in from the street, you can increase the signal strength entering your home by up a whopping +7 db per port! If you have multiple televisions or run a cable modem for your internet, this product is recommended. By having four ports come directly off of the amplifier, there is no need for additional splitters, which reduce signal strength. If you are tired of tv pictures that don’t seem as clear as they should be, dropped internet connections, or just desire a reliable amplifier to give continuous, steady signal to your home or business, this is for you!

5 Stars Great Item. Now I get HD Signals Well
I bought this item recently and replaced another TV signal booster. With the old set up I got some HD channels intermittently. Now, I get them all, all the time. I wholeheartedly recommend this item. I have it hooked up to my HDTV, Cable Box and Singbox and all of them get better reception now.

5 Stars Delivered!
I used this for OTA and yes, the performance of this is very respectable. I have 100′ coax from the antenna to the house, about 20′ more to the distribution panel where the final runs vary in length depending on location. The best solution for me would be a pre-amp at the antenna but since I got a very decent signal already I decided to try this for its simplicity. Using this amp, the S/N coming out of each of the 4 ports is considerably better than going straight to one receiver without the amp.

Here is a tip that I have not seen mentioned: if you do not use all the ports, i.e. not hooking up to a cable, or the cable does not connect to a TV/receiver, terminate the unused ones with a cap (a few bucks a dozen at Radio Shack). It can be done either at the amp or at the other end of the cable. In some cases, unterminated cable can give you a lot of grief.

2 Stars No noticeable improvement and maybe even a little bit worse
Maybe someone can explain this to me: the last output says pwr/in/rf out rather than just rf out like the other three outputs. What is the purpose of the pwr/in on that last output? There is no explanation anywhere in the literature that came with the amplifier. There is already a pwr/in port on the top left so why have two of them? Does the last rf out port need a power source in order to work? I tried connecting this amplifier to my input cable and out to 3 tv’s. the 4th output went to another splitter which went out to two additional tv’s. The signal was worse than it was before i used the amplifier.

5 Stars Works as advertised; a little steep on price
This is not standard Radio Shack crap. Quality all the way. I have a bad signal. The little amp helped. With some new cables, I know I will have a perfect picture. The unit works well. I am very pleased, but the price is a bit steep.

5 Stars Great Product
Bought this to help pick up some stations that my over the air tv antenna was not picking up. It accomplished that and more. I actually picked up several more stations that I didn’t expect. It was easy to hook up. It boosted channels that I already had and picked up those I was looking for, and picked up ones I didn’t expect to get. I also split my signal to three different tv’s and this made it easy. I would recommend this product to anyone.
