4 Stars Does the Job Well
Keeps the GPS off the windshield and below the field of essential vision while driving. Stable platform, but could be more flexible to fit undulating dashboards. Security is better while parked because the whole fixture can be set down on the floor and not stuck on the windshield to draw the attention of thieves. I bought one for each of my two cars, but use only one (readily transferrable). I offered the other to my nephew, but he already had bought one and likes it.

5 Stars Stays put, works great
Recently purchased the Nav Mat and couldn’t be happier. Took it on a 4 hour trip and the GPS stayed put and worked great. Previously, we would hand hold the GPS because suctioning it to the window was a vision hazard. I also leave the Nav Mat on my dashboard and use it to hold my cell phone or sunglasses. Would recommend this to anyone who uses a window suction GPS.

4 Stars Nav-Mat UFM100BL in a 2006 GMC Sierra pick-up
I purchased this item at the time I bought my TomTom One XL. I tried to use the window suction cup that came with my TomTom OneXL for a couple of trips, but the suction cup kept coming loose from the windshield. I finally opened the Nav-Mat and am pretty well pleased with it, with one exception. The original suction cup and stem that came with the TomTom OneXL is too short to be used successfully in the Nav-Mat (the full circle one). I have since learned that they make the same unit in a semi circle with an open front. HDFMB-2: i.Trek V2 Open Front Heavy Duty Friction Mount Base for Garmin, TomTom, Magellan GPS Devices My OneXL will not seat properly in the full circle. The power cord installs underneath the GPS unit and rides on the ridge of the Nav-Mat. Sometimes the GPS slides out of its holder or the suction cup will come loose from the Nav-Mat. I don’t blame this on the Nav-Mat, I should have check further before odering it. The Nav-mat itself is very stable and does not slide aroud. If you have a smaller, 3 or 3.5 inch GPS unit, this Nav-mat would probably be perfect for you.

5 Stars Basic and Simple Mount that Works!!!
This is a basic mount that you lay on the dash of your vehicle. It is very simple and to the point. I have not had the mount move even with upholstery protection such as Armor All on the dash. It appears that it can be used for several accessories such as cell phones, gps, and radar detectors. I use mine with Tom Tom One XL-S gps unit. Another benefit is the ease at removing this from the dash with no tell tale signs which is a deterrent against theft. If you want a mount with ease of use, this is the one that you want.

1 Star not for cold weather
This thing worked well for the first couple of weeks. It stuck to my dashboard even at harsh acceleration and sharp turns. Then, when the temperature dropped below 30 it would slide off all the time. Finally, as I was accelerating to pass someone on the highway, it slipped off the dashboard, causing my gps to slam face-first into the shifter knob, causing extensive blunt force trauma to the glass touchscreen, rendering my gps useless.

5 Stars As good as the Canon and much, much better price.
This remote functions well above my expectations. I was a little leary because of the cheap price. But it works flawlessly. I love it. I have only had it for a couple of weeks and used it maybe 6 times, but so far it is 5 stars.

2 Stars Cheaply made, but works
Directions were not very clear and were not written in perfect english. This isn’t just for Cannon cameras, it’s a generic product that works on several cameras. The best I can tell,only one of the buttons on the remote actually work with the Cannon Rebel, which is what I bought it for. The other buttons are useless and do not work with my camera. I can take a picture remotely, so I guess it does work. Just disappointed in that it was advertised for the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, XTi (my camera), and the XSi, but is really for multiple cameras and the only button that works is the shutter button.

This remote wireless was so inexpensive that I doubted it would be very useful…but surprise! It is easy to operate and works great! I use it with my Canon Rebel EOS XSI and it is almost foolproof!

Good service on S&H. Product good only it has buttons on it that it doesn’t explain how to use. I can still use it for what I need but it would be nice to know what those buttons are for, it might make the product better.

5 Stars Usefull to have accessory
Just got mine in mail today. I have not taken any pictures yet but I already like it I’m sure it will perform well on my Canon 50D 28-135mm kit lens. I decided to get the hood right after I got a few pictures with flare (when photographing at night standing next to the light pole).

Also, I like the way camera sits on the table now: the end of the lens is not touching the table and therefore there will be no unnecessary scratch marks on the edge.

I don’t have to remove the hood - the camera+lens+hood fit just fine in the backpack (Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG) with plenty of room left.

Petal design of the hood makes it easier to put the lens cover in. Hint: put/remove the cover diagonally.

Got mine from Cameta Camera. I received USPS tracking number but could not track the package, which came in less then a week.

5 Stars Canon product, Canon quality
This lens hood fits like a glove (and not OJ’s glove, either). It attaches securely, and does a great job of blocking the sun. When not in use, I reverse it and attach it to the lens for storage.

5 Stars Gotta Have
I recommend using hoods on all lenses for 2 reasons. 1. It helps protect the lens barrel if banged against something and then 2. the obvious, helps keep stray sidelight from interferring with your shot. I use mine all the time and it reverses on the lens.

4 Stars A Must Have For Quality Pictures
It is the Canon OEM lens hood for their EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. It fits perfectly and has three main advantages:

1. Cuts down lens flair

2. Improves contrast and image quality - two for one

3. Offers some protection to the front of the lens.

As has been pointed out in other reviews, this is an expensive piece of plastic and given the cost of Canon glass should be included with the lens purchase. But that is not the case. There are other options available. From some of the reviews I have seen of the knock-offs they do not always fit and/or work as well. So for me, given my Canon investment, I just bite the bullet and add the final piece I feel I get better results with. After all, I could buy cheaper glass.

This hood can be reversed on the lens for storage on the lens, but it will require a larger lens case for storage on the lens, if you use that option. And finally, it is a little tight getting the lens cap on/off with the hood in place, but it is doable.

4 Stars Canon EW78BII Lens Hood
Lens hood does what it’s intended to do, shade the front optic. It will also induce shade into the scene & captured image if using the on-camera flash on any of Canon’s digital slr’s (with the EF 28-135mm) unless you rotate it 90 degrees (a point where it is no longer attached to the lens.) This shadowing is observed from 28mm to about 40mm settings on my Eos 50D. Great while working outdoors and in crowds. Adequately protects the front element but taking the lense caps off is difficult for those with large hands & fingers. A collapsable or sliding hood for this lens would be the better choice if using the on-camera flash with wide angle settings consistantly.

The standard charing system in the camera used corded charging. This tied up the camera in one place while the battery was charging. The plug-in charger in very convenient and you could be charging a spare battery while using the camera. Why didn’t Sony think of including a battery charger such as this one to begin with?

Excellent product and I like the folding plug-in terminals.

1 Star Don’t waste your money
I purchased this camera yesterday at a local store and I returned it 2 hours later. I could not get the software to download and I could not get the camera to power up. I tried with the batteries that came with the camera… no go. So I put new batteries in the camera and it still would not power up. Back to the store it went!!!

I bought this camera for my home so we could take pictures of my new grand daughter. I’m not a photographer, but this camera takes great pictures. My teenage daughter had the camera all the time.
