4 Stars Great Itouch Speaker
I am using 1st generation itouch. I’ve been looking an ipod/iphone speaker with alarm clock, and compare with other brands’ product, I like this one the best. It has a cool look, good sound effect, useful functions, and good price. I would definitely recommend this product.
5 Stars Excellent iPod Alarm Clock
This item is great. I recommend it.
I bought an iHome alarm clock in an attempt to use our 5th generation iPod Video as the music source for the alarm sound. After a lot of messing around and testing and days of troubleshooting… it simply did not work. Supposed to, but didn’t.
This Logitech Anytime unit is wonderful. Right out of the box I followed the simple quick-start instructions and was up and running 5 minutes later. But most alarm clocks are like that. The real test is getting the iPod as the alarm source. In the next 5 or 10 minutes I was able to test my iPod’s use as an alarm source to wake up to my playlist’s music. It works flawlessly.
There are two alarm time settings this unit remembers. Useful for two different people that need to get up at different times, or you can use the second alarm time as an “oh crap 1-hour later alarm really really get out of bed” for example. They’re Alarm #1 and Alarm #2. Each one has it’s own time setting as well as it’s own source setting. So you could have alarm #1 set at 5am with the iPod as the alarm sound source (or the buzzer or the radio), and alarm #2 set at 8:30am with the buzzer as the alarm source (or the iPod, or the Radio). Both can use the same source so it’s totally configurable.
The unit is really small. Smaller than a loaf of bread in a bag for example. It’s speakers play the music really well. The sound is distinct and nice. I’m sure that there are people that will compare this unit’s speakers with larger “iPod speaker systems” and conclude that they could be better, but you know what?… they sound just fine. No crackles, not a light tingy sound, not too rich and deep… just good enough to enjoy music and more than good as an alarm clock.
When the iPod is set as the source and the alarm goes off the unit will automatically look for a specific “Alarm 1″ or “Alarm 2″ playlist in your iPod. If it finds one of them (for the associated alarm in question) it’ll play music in Shuffle mode from one of those playlists. So you can totally customize what music should be used as alarm music. If however you don’t have those playlists on your iPod the unit will just resume playback from whatever playlist was last played from.
When the alarm time goes off, the music doesn’t just abruptly start playing. The unit will start off the music quietly and slowly over the course of a few seconds increase more and more the volume until it’s at the wake-up audio level.
The way to stop the alarm is really neat. You simply wave your hand over the top and a little sensor will detect the motion and shut off the music. It’s also the way to illuminate the controls if you need to see them in the dark for some reason.
The unit has a backup 9volt battery that it uses for remembering the time settings if the power goes out. If the power does go out and the music source was set to iPod, the buzzer will sound instead because it won’t have enough power to run/command the iPod.
If the unit has power from the wall it will charge your iPod, although if the iPod is actively being used to listen to music it won’t charge until the iPod itself is off. The iPod mounts to the unit via the standard Apple Dock Connector slot on the bottom of the iPod itself. There are different snap-on mounting guides to help different iPod models all stay put and mount properly.
The orange lighted display is very clear and easy to read at night.
This unit has more features than what I need. I needed an iPod alarm clock and it’s great! I’ve tossed my iHome unit because this Logitech Anytime unit works flawlessly. I recommend it.
5 Stars Much better than our previous alarm clock
This is easy to use. My wife enjoys waking up to the iPod, i need the crazy beeping (luckily I get up last). The sound is really good for an alarm clock. The bose ipod docs sound slightly better and have a more full rich sound but we really wanted/needed an alarm clock.
4 Stars A very good iPod alarm clock
After approximately two months of using this product every day, I can recommend it as a very good alarm clock with iPod capability.
My expectation for such a device is that it has to function very well as an alarm clock first and foremost, and then the iPod integration after that.
I am happy to report that it does a very good of being an alarm clock. The only feature that I miss from my previous alarm clock is a gradual volume on the buzzer. I’m a light sleeper, and it doesn’t take a loud noise to wake me up. For an alarm clock advertised as “premium” such a feature should be included. Fortunately, the iPod integration helps in that regard, which I’ll get to shortly.
The dual alarms work very well, and having the choice of buzzer, radio, iPod, and auxiliary input for the alarm is welcome. The motion sensor makes it easy to use the alarm clock at night, and waving your hand over the display to snooze is an ingenious way to make use of that sensor. The snooze button is also easily reached without looking at the unit.
The iPod integration is well done, in my opinion. It charged my 5th gen 30GB iPod with no problem, and I was able to navigate the menus using the iPod, the buttons on the unit, and the remote control. There are three shortcut buttons on the Pure-Fi Anytime and on its remote that give you fast access to three playlists (labeled 1, 2, and 3) that you pre-configure. You are also able to set two alarm playlists (alarm1 and alarm2) on your iPod, which will play if you select iPod as your alarm choice.
The audio quality of the Pure-Fi Anytime is standard clock radio fare. Given its price, you’re not going to get a lot of dynamic range from the speakers, but this isn’t any different than other clock radios in this price range. At very low volumes, there is a soft white noise that is noticeable, but it is not overly distracting. During normal listening, even at soft volumes, I haven’t noticed it.
Overall, I am impressed by the integration of clock radio and the iPod that Logitech has done here. I like that the iPod is nestled into the unit instead of sticking up from the top like so many others. There is no chance that you will knock the iPod from its base while fumbling for the snooze button.
The only cons I can come up with are that the glossy finish does attract fingerprints (but it does match my black iPod nicely), the AC adaptor wall-wart is larger than I’ve ever seen for a clock radio, and certain keypresses will cause the clock to emit a rather large beep as an acknowledgement, which can be unsettling if you are trying to set something after your partner has gone to sleep already.
Good alarm clock operation, good iPod integration, remote, and decent sound quality make this an alarm clock worth owning!
5 Stars Good iPod player - with alarm built in
I’ve mostly used this as an iPod “radio,” plugging into the unit’s dock and playing tunes while the iPod charges up. The sound quality is quite good, and it can play fairly loudly without any noticeable distortion — the speakers seem well-engineered to amplify the digital signal from the iPod files. I have only experimented a little with the alarm function, but haven’t (yet) encountered the cutting-out bug described by other users. All in all, I’m pretty happy with the player — it seems like a pretty solid component and well worth the money.

5 Stars Small black box, big voice…
It’s the tiny box that roars: the V6000 transmits a full-range audio signal from my laptop audio output to radios around the house (including a Tivoli Model One), even at low power levels. I had to dial down the range lest I become a neighbourhood broadcaster! With AC, USB, AAA battery options, mike and line inputs and four presets for desirable frequencies and power levels, you can’t beat the performance of this black box. It’s only likely competitor is the CCrane model (which I haven’t tried) but if you don’t mind a clean, albeit mono, sound (and why should you?), this is a terrific buy.
5 Stars Great product AND Excellent service
We received excellent service from this company and I was very happy that the item arrived sooner that was estimated.
The FM Transmitter was easy to set up and use. It worked very well - we used it for a Christmas display and had it running for about 6 weeks straight with absolutely no issues.
4 Stars Excellent coverage at full power, but a mono signal.
At its full power of 200mw, I get coverage of my small home and deck with a good signal. I don’t have a multistory house so I can’t say how it would do in that case.
Pros:
1. adjustable power output from 0 to 200mw
2. coverage of small foot print house like mine is very good—might be same for a larger house with multiple stories.
3. everything you need comes in the box: whip antenna, power brick, car cigarette lighter power plug.
4. digital display showing: power output and frequency you are on.
5. power adjustable via up/down pb
6. frequency setting is digital–no drift! — via up/down pbs for the entire FM band, not just a segment of the FM band.
7. I think the sound quality is very good.
cons:
No stereo, but at a 200mw or less power, unless you’re on top of the transmitter, a stereo signal would have lots of noise anyway. Mono channels are always low noise at low power.
Other:
The unit is credit card small, very light weight, plastic case. The digital display will go out after a few seconds so that in operation, the unit is ‘dark’ except for the small blue power on LED on the side of the unit…see the picture. The power jack, and the audio jack are on the same side–the left as you view the digital display. And the antenna jack is on the left as well.
Overall: This is a good product. The case is black plastic. I’ve used other lower power FM units and find this one to be very good step up indeed. The digital display, digital tuning–no drift–, are excellent technical features. Caution: If you must have stereo, but want larger range, go for a higher powered product..but you will then end up covering your neighborhood. I use this in a ‘fixed location’ plugged into the AC, so I can’t say how it would do in a car or on battery power.
4 Stars Needs to broadcast in stereo.
One thing the description does not tell you is, that it does not broadcast in stereo format, just mono. Otherwise i like how you can plug a mic into it and broadcast your voice live. If it could broadcast in stereo, i would have rated this product 5 stars.
2 Stars No stereo? Instant loser.
How can people that are serious about music even consider this unit with it’s lack of stereo encoding?
Please be aware before you purchase that this unit transmits in MONO.
Good for churches or maybe xmas lights where musical reproduction is secondary, but for serious broadcast or musical enjoyment? Not a chance.

5 Stars Same as Sabrent case, just cheaper! not bad at all!
This is exactly the same car that is sold under the Sabrent name and it’s 1/3 the price of that one.
Not a bad damn deal!!!
XP and up don’t need to install anything, just toss the disk that it comes with, it’s meant for windows 98 and older. These devices are set to USB standards for 2.0 and it’s all just plug and play. Before closing the case up and putting the screws in just go ahead and start it up and make sure that your drive is accessible. It it’s not just move the jumper until you figure out the right setting for it.
Just make sure that you have the 2.5″ drive set to either master or single (the jumper setting, normally single is without a jumper).
Also be careful with the screws for the top of the case they will strip out easily if you try to TIGHTEN them too much.
5 Stars Resurrect old OS
The USB 2.0 External 2.5″ HDD Enclosure Case For Laptop was a godsend. My laptop crashed a few weeks ago and wouldn’t even load BIOS. Unfortunately, I had been negligent in putting new files on my external hard drive, so lots of important ones were left on the old OS. This enclosure case came with everything I needed: USB cable, screw driver, screws, and of course, the case itself. It was delightfully simple to run and cooperated just fine with my new OS (Vista). The price, too, can’t be beat, as well as the fast shipping from HottestDealEver Corp.
I only encountered one minor difficulty: getting the male connector in. (I guess the hub was small?) I got my housemate to apply his strength to it, and it worked fine.
Other than that, a terrific product
5 Stars Just what I need
Just what I need to rescue my laptop’s HD.
The screwdriver is the worst !
5 Stars Great, cheap enclosure
I had an old laptop drive that I wanted to use and this was the perfect solution. Been using it for about a month and have had no problems whatsoever. Installation was easy and self explanatory. The included usb-y cable is very nice as I am using 1.1. Great enclosure for the price.
4 Stars Looks lacking, but works well
This item lived up to what I read about it. It doesn’t look like much, but it works great. Using it was easy and fast. Since I only paid about $5 for it, it was a great value for the money.
