Sharp UX C70B Black Ink Cartridge UX B700 Fax
January 10, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

The UX-C70B is a black ink cartridge designed for use with Sharp’s UX-B700 fax machine. It has a duty cycle of approximately 500 pages. It is also easy to install and replace. Simply open the cartridge cover, insert the cartridge until it snaps into place, and close the cover. One cartridge is provided per box.

1 Star GRRRRRR! ZERO STARS!
I bought one of these just 3.5 months ago and it is completely dried out and unusable. I think I have actually printed 3 pages total with this cartridge. IT’S A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! Time to chuck this obsolete technology and rely completely on my Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner plus e-fax service.
1 Star Bad product
The cartridge was indeed in an OEM box and appeared to be a new cartridge but…it was dry as a bone. There was not a drop of ink in it. I had to buy a refill kit just to get it to work. Thanks for NOTHING! The shipping was slow too.
1 Star The least cost effective cartridge made!
This cartridge is used in a Sharp UX-B700 which I’ve already reviewed as the worst fax machine I have ever owned(it has since been discontinued). As you can see by the small size of this cartridge, it holds very little ink and prints very few pages before giving up. I have gotten rid of this machine because of the high price of these replacement cartridges. They printed about 100-150 pages before drying out. I have even had two of them come to me out if the factory package bone dry! I used this machine in a small office environment and the ink ran out every 10 or 12 DAYS! If these cartridges cost 4 or 5 dollars they might be a good value but for what they cost they are an outrageous waste of money. Bye Bye Sharp.
1 Star Look elsewhere.
Misleading is the best way I can put this. The cartridge was a “starter.” That is, it is the one that comes with a new printer, but has much less capacity. Find a full-size cartridge somewhere else.
2 Stars fix for dry ink problem
I had the dry ink problem also after not using for a week. I was ready to order a new cartridge but first I tried soaking the printhead in distilled water about 10 minutes. Do not soak the cartridge just the printhead. Place in about 1/8 inches of water. Now my cartridge works fine.

3 Stars Works as advertised though overall quality is slightly below average.
This strobe works as advertized. It is a fairly large unit and its sensitivity knob for sensing sound and beat works well. But I would say the quality is slightly below average because it is made of plastic and right out of the box one of the knobs that holds and tightens the mounting bracket was already stripped and I couldn’t tighten the unit to the bracket. I don’t recommend this product for professional or heavy use. Another Chauvet product I own (colored light ball) is made of metal and has lasted through several years of use.
5 Stars Potential Disappointment
Chauvet ST-2000S Techno Strobe Light 2000S
I know I’m going to disappoint some Chauvet customers, but I did NOT buy this for party use!
My projects include stop motion photography along with High Speed photography. The actual physical size of the unit is much larger than I’d anticipated, The lens diameter is approximately 8″ and the length approximately 10″. This isn’t an issue for my needs, or an indictment of the product, just information for those who might need it.
The flash is VERY bright, well into the range of my stronger (dedicated) photo flashes. Both the trigger, the auto and the music modes work quite well. In the music mode the music volume needs to be relatively loud and the strobe near the source of the sound.
This unit, like most with high output energy (and subsequent heat) has a duty cycle of 20 minutes at maximum power. This is absolutely normal for this kind of device, and it’s a shame so many reviewers don’t understand that concept.
All in all, a VERY impressive unit for a good price. Should we outgrow this unit (in our photo needs) we’ll add more of this model for additional and extended lighting.
Five stars for this one!
5 Stars superb
does the job perfect…great for parties…the light a lil sharp…better for bigger areas…was too much for our lil space…but they are great!
5 Stars Great for a Halloween strobe effect in your garage
Last Halloween, I purchased and mounted the Chauvet Techno Strobe above my garage door after having researched many strobe lights on the market.
I wanted one that was bright, relatively inexpensive and had a built-in mic with adjustable speed. This model certainly fit the bill. With the built-in mic, I got what I wanted, which was a random flash, and not a steady tempo flash. This gave more of a lightning effect which is what I wanted to go along with the haunted “slaughter room” we had constructed in the garage.
Being a former mobile DJ, I have send and worked with my share of strobe lights. This strobe is a keeper. Highly recommended!
