4 Stars Lots of capacity, great price
I use it with my Canon A590 camera. It’s reliable, too. One caveat, however, I recently bought a used San Disk universal card reader, which will not recognize this card at all. (It has no problem with my 1 and 2 GB cards. I think the problem is that this is a SD card and the reader isn’t equipped for that.

5 Stars 16gb memory
haven’t had much of a chance to use the chip yet, but so far it works in my camcorder without a problem. can’t beat the price. try and buy this in a box store and you’ll pay an arm and a leg.

5 Stars Nice!
It arrived in a good condition. Works well

One more thing I like about Amazon:

When I bought a memory card on ebay for Sony Cybershot W150, they sent me a Chinese product. I have bought 2 SD Cards on Amazon so far, 4gb and 8gb, and both of them are Japanese products. If I need one more, I’ll definitely go to Amazon.com! :)

5 Stars Kingston 16 GB flash memory card
This was purchased for an avid amateur to add capacity beyond the card that came with the camera. It did the trick and meant more photos before the need to review and delete or download to create space.

4 Stars great for the job
This sd card did a great job of holding a lot of pictures. I finally upgraded from a 256mb that came with the camera. It was nice not to be forced to delete or download pictures after every 100.

5 Stars Great Value
A great value and does what i bougt it for, music for phone and pictures for camera. but if you are going to use it for burst mode in a camera that that uses a sd card and is 5mp or more get an extrem 3 card—it just writes are faster speeds that this card can’t do.

5 Stars Great microSD Card at a Great Price
The Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Card works flawless with my SD Card Reader. My computer has no trouble recognizing it as a drive. I also tried it in my Sony Cybershot Camera using a microSDHC to MS PRO Duo Adapter — works like a charm; the camera has no trouble capturing pictures and videos (at 30 fps). All of my devices are able to recognize the full capacity of the SD card.

This SD card is rated class 4 (data transfer rate: 4 MByte/sec, or 32 mbps) - sufficiently fast for the majority of electronics. A decidedly small number of electronics, most notably some camcorders and high-end cameras, require a class 6 SD card (the fastest transfer rate).

I searched the Internet extensively for a better price - Amazon’s price [...] for this microSDHC card can’t be beat! Rest assured, you’re getting a great microSD card at a great price!

1 Star This did not work for me
I tried several times over to download this card and format it because it would not work on my computer. The card kept freezing when trying to transfer info onto it, and it shut my computer down three times as of now. This card was purchased for my blackberry bold and it is not working as many reviewers stated it would. Maybe I got a bad one

5 Stars worked with Nokia E71
great price from amazon, it worked with my nokia e71 right out of the box, no formatting needed. good for gps enabled phone, you can store the entire US map on the card.

5 Stars Perfect little gadget for the price!
This microSD card works perfectly for my Nextel Blackberry curve. I am able to watch movies, play music, and view family pictures because of this little gadget. Its wonderful. No problems with fit form or function. Thank you AMAZON for having such a great product and at reasonable price! I bought one for me and a friend. No problems from his side as well.

Sanyo Xacti VPC E2 Digital Camcorder and 8 MP Digital Camera Blue

November 8, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

The new waterproof Sanyo Xacti E2 camcorder captures stunning digital video and beautiful 8-megapixel photos — on land and even underwater!

Practically four cameras in one, the Xacti E2 allows you to shoot both photos and video at a park, birthday party, or virtually anywhere else on dry land. And, when the opportunity presents itself, you can also shoot both photos and video while snorkeling or while just playing around in a swimming pool. This means you can enjoy shooting at the beach, by the pool, or on the ski slopes without worrying about submerging the camera or getting it wet from rain or snow.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Highlights
Shoot both video and photos underwater

This powerful little camcorder easily records both full 640×480 resolution video at 60 fields-per-second and high-resolution 8-megapixel digital still images, all of which are handily stored to a standard SD or SDHC flash memory card (sold separately).

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Highlights

Designed to IPX8 international standard for waterproof The Xacti E2 is capable of recording full-motion video five feet underwater for up to 30 minutes. Incorporating a water-tight design that can resist the pressure created when submersed at five feet, the Xacti E2 is capable of capturing dramatic photos and video footage underwater to share with less adventurous family members and friends.

Incorporates the highly advanced AVC/H.264 video compression This makes posting movies on the Internet or e-mailing them to friends and family easier by reducing the file size. In fact, the file size can be up to 25 percent smaller than that of typical MPEG-4 cameras. To accomplish the complexity of encoding AVC/H.264 in real-time on the E2, a H.264 video compression IC was incorporated into the camera that was designed specifically for portable consumer devices to achieve high video quality while simultaneously reducing the system power consumption. The result is high-quality video recording up to a total of 8 hours of full-motion video with an 8 GB SDHC memory card (in TV-HQ mode). The Xacti E2 can also record up to a total of 4 hours of video with a 4 GB SDHC memory card, up to 2 hours with a standard 2GB SD card, and up to 1 hours with a standard SD card.

Large, 2.5-inch Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) The display flips out from the camera and rotates up to 285 degrees on an axis that allows you to take great video or still images from otherwise-difficult-to-view positions, proving to be especially useful when shooting underwater or in small rooms.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Highlights
Sophisticated photo face detection and video face chaser

Sophisticated photo face detection and video face chaser Using a proprietary Sanyo algorithm, the E2 automatically compensates for distracting up-and-down or side-to-side camera movement, keeping your subject steady and easy to follow. It accurately distinguishes between unintentional camera shake and deliberate camera movement. This handy feature operates in both wide-angle and telephoto modes, giving every shot a solid, professional-looking feel. It can detect faces and adjust the focus and exposure accordingly. Faces are sensed even when they move, allowing you to track up to 12 people at once. Automatic exposure is applied according to the area, while automatic focus captures the person at the center of the frame. During playback, you can zoom in and enjoy those facial expressions in detail.

Setting the E2 camcorder apart from other video cameras begins inside You can find an advanced 8.0-megapixel (total) CMOS image sensor inside the E2. The large sensor allows the E2 to capture high-resolution, 8-megapixel still images in addition to recording high-quality digital videos with full-range stereo sound.

Record up to a total of 8 hours of full motion video Or capture up to 2000 8-megapixel still images on a 8GB SDHC memory card, up to 4 hours of video with a 4 GB SDHC memory card, up to 2 hours with a 2GB standard SD card, and up to 1 hours with a 1GB standard SD card.

Import files directly into iTunes software Easy transfer to your video-capable iPod allows you to share a quick video the next time you are asked how the kids are doing!

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Highlights
E2 incorporates a digital image stabilizer

Shake control mechanism Used for still pictures, it cancels both rotational blurring that cannot be corrected by optical systems and blurring caused by moving subjects. The E2 also incorporates a digital image stabilizer for videos, which accurately distinguishes between unintentional trembling and intentional camera work such as panning and tilting — a distinction that some systems have difficulty making — so that shaking is corrected without sacrificing the natural look of your actual camera work.

Ever need to capture still images while you’re already shooting video? The E2 enables simultaneous shooting of both 8-megapixel still images and 640 x 480-pixel video clips with a simple press of the shutter button during the shooting of a movie clip. You will never need to miss another precious photo opportunity. (Depending on the mode used to take still images, simultaneous video clip shooting may be interrupted. While shooting video clips, using the digital image stabilizer may change the angle of view for still images.)

Sequential Shooting The E2 is capable of high-speed continuous shooting at 5 frames per second (for up to 10 frames) in [2M] mode, ensuring that you won’t miss that perfect shot. It is also capable of continuous shooting at 1 frame per second (for up to 10 frames) in [8M] mode.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Highlights
E2 is capable of high-speed continuous shooting at 5 FPS

5x optical zoom with a bright maximum aperture of f/3.5 Consisting of 9 groups and 12 total lenses, the E2’s lens provides a fantastic field-of-view with a 38-190 mm range (35mm equivalent). Combined with the 12x digital zoom, the E2 provides up to 62.5x zooming capability.

Super-fast start-up Reduce your chance of missing the moment. The Xacti E2 media camera is designed for super fast start-up and shooting. With the tapeless design, the E2 eliminates the need to queue up a tape deck, allowing the E2 to begin shooting in as little as 1.7 seconds! When the E2 is powered on, closing the LCD display puts the E2 in standby mode. Simply open the display and the E2 automatically powers up and can begin immediately recording in as little as 1.7 seconds.

Includes a high-capacity Sanyo brand lithium-ion battery The DBL-L20U is a high-voltage, 3.7-volt battery designed to work with the Sanyo Xacti E2 camera. High-energy density design minimizes the battery size and weight, making it perfect for use in small, portable cameras. The DBL-L20 is designed to resist memory accumulation so it provides a full charge every time.

Easy playback of recorded video directly on a TV Connect the E2 to a VCR or DVD Recorder to back-up copies of recorded content. Still images and video clips on the Xacti E2 are played back continuously and in chronological order. The Xacti E2 offers convenient connection to a PC. With simple drag-and-drop operation, it’s easy to save recorded video clips and still images onto a computer’s hard disk for emailing, editing or archiving.

Easy video sharing Video recording on the E2 employs highly efficient MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression. This keeps high-quality files small, so you can upload videos to websites and blogs or share them via podcasts or online social networks. Conveniently, these video files don’t require format conversion before being uploaded to websites. If you know that you are filming for your blog, you can record at a smaller file size that’s suitable for website use. You can then upload the file as-is, without needing to resize it.

On or off, the E2 is a true work of art Ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, most video and still functions can be easily accessed with the thumb of the hand used to hold the camera. Available in Blue and White and the E2’s design is likely to get as much attention as your videos.

4 Stars Really good for active people who want to make movies with their computer..
Just perfect for me. I was aware of it’s downsides such as short battery life( just buy a 2nd, they’re cheap), no lens cover and very average picture quality. However for the price, I could overlook those issues. It is well built, easy to use. the SD format makes it simple to upload to your computer. The camera also came with Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 editing software that is great for the average Joe. I use it mainly to shoot ski footage, as the waterproof aspects of the camera allow me to use it in wet weather(just keep lens covered)I’ve had it for a month and so far so good.

4 Stars Good for the money
This is a good little camera for the price. The picture quality is fair on video and pretty decent for stills. I like it’s compact size and the ability to take stills and video easily with one unit. The controls are a bit awkward in your hand, but do-able. I bought this for a trip to Disney and it was super easy to tote around and use. I can’t attest to it’s longevity as I’ve only had it for about a month. I bought a 16gb card that held a weeks worth of video and stills with room to spare. The battery life is not bad. By the end of the day it was exhausted though. Save your video review for when the action is over. With a bit more practice I think I could improve some of that video quality by simply shooting in the appropriate mode. I shot almost solely in Auto without thinking. Recommended for simple everyday memory capture.

4 Stars Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Digital Camcorder
This is a cute camera to take on a road trip and you don’t have to worry about it getting wet because it’s waterproof. Just make sure you look at the directions when you charge the battery that it is in right and get a memory card.

4 Stars Does a fairly good job at what is supposed to.
Okay I’ve been using Flips for a few years. Loved the Ultra and the Mino, but I swapped up to the MinoHD. Bad move on my part. The video on the MinoHD is amazing as long as you are holding the cam still or on a tripod. I needed something for a snowboarding vacation that could handle the bumps and jolts down the slope. Sure the video isn’t the best ever but compared to the MinoHD inability to be walked with this thing does pretty good. I do like the multiple settles so I can tweak the way I want. Used my Roxio DVD software and burned a few movies, playing on our 50″ Panasonic plasma they look pretty good. Actually better than on the PC monitor. Wouldn’t have paid $200+ for this cam, but the gold box $150 wasn’t bad. BTW the terrible time with the 8gb transcend card I bought with it. I switch to Lexmar with better results. Overall a fun cam that does tons of stuff. 4.5 stars for effort.

4 Stars Xacti VPC-E2

This is a compact and durable, extremely easy to operate, do almost everything camera. It takes great stills and good outdoor movies. I was disappointed a bit with the indoor movies.

It works underwater and is sealed to resist dust, sand, high humidity.

It interfaces flawlessly with PC. With the Mac, I sometimes have connectivity problems and need to remove the SD card to upload the photos and movies. Overall, I would recommend the camera. It does fit in my shirt pocket..
