Klipsch Synergy KSW 10 Subwoofer Single Black

February 25, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

Complete a powerful home theater system with the deep, driving bass of the Klipsch KSW-10 powered subwoofer–perfect for combing with high-performance Klipsch Synergy Series surround sound configurations. It couples a 10-inch driver to the floor for optimal performance. This subwoofer’s high-output, down-firing design “grips” the air and fills a room with low frequency energy that’s heard and felt with undetectable distortion. The built-in discrete MOSFET amplifier and 10-inch fiber-composite woofer are as efficient as they are reliable. It provides 55 watts of FTC-rated continuous power, and it has a dynamic power rating of 275 watts. (Dynamic power indicates the actual power this amplifier will deliver to the woofer under normal operating conditions.)

The woofer is composed of a Santoprene rubber surround with a fiber composite cone which enables Klipsch subwoofers to deliver on their promise of extended bass response and maximum reliability. This subwoofer accepts LFE, line-level, and speaker level inputs, making it easy to add to the Quintet Microsystem, the Synergy System 6, or any other Klipsch inspired arrangement. The KSW-10’s jet ash veneer vinyl finish creates a deceivingly subtle exterior for its earthshaking sound capabilities.

5 Stars awesome sound
I upgraded from a Sony 10″ sub to the klipsch 10″ sub. The sound quality is night and day. The bass is very clean and deep without causing anything in my living room to rattle. The Sony was loud but not clear. The Klipsch is both, great sub.

5 Stars More Than Meets The Ears
I thought like many the more watts the bigger the boom, but I got a lesson in acoustics, Klipsch, B&W, Polk, Velodyne and Sunfire, these here are good, better and best, but you still need the receiver or amp to get the sound you want. Now I have to admit that Velodyne and Sunfire are tops, but this KSW 10″ sub, could handle its own. I put in Jurassic Park, Transformers, Planet of the Apes and it passed with bounce to the oz, some have said that it doesn’t shake the floor. well don’t know what they were running. but I shook the walls and windows and the vibe in the floor. I liked it so much that I got a 2nd and they work in tandem, talkin’ about bouncin’ off the walls, it can. Playin’ my music is also an experience, I have never gone past half, the quality is excellent w/o loosing any quality of the bass, from R&B, Hip Hop, Classical, Jazz, Acid Jazz, Alt Rock, Rock ‘n’ Roll, just a nice tight sound w/o the muddy muck. For the money it is worth the bump, unless you want to spend a few grand on the Sunfire or Vely’s

5 Stars No Complaints
I don’t claim to be a ’speaker guy’ but this sub paired with my Yamaha 3 channel in ceiling speakers and my Polk Audio center channel speaker are all plugged into a new Yamaha audio/video HDMI receiver - This system hits hard. The Sub sounds great. No complaints here.

4 Stars Great little subwoofer for a good low end surround system.
It might not be the best sounding sub, but for the price, the quality is excellent and the sound is great at moderate levels. For an apartment or smaller room, this subwoofer is more than ample. If you are building up a high end surround sound system in a larger room, you will probably want to move up to a 12″ speaker and a higher end series. I definitely will always recommend klipsch speakers though. They consistently have shown me high quality and great sound over the years.

5 Stars Come along, come on, what did you think?
I’m in a very small room. I paid a small price. What do you want? Those who’ve invested a good percentage of their annual income in the best brands, like, uhhh, Pestrono Iksu, Choralius Opus 1, or Moran for that matter(remember The Conversation starring Gene Hackman?,)are probably not among those who are secretly listening to K&D Sessions or Boards of Canada in their tiny clubhouse. It’s more than enough for a twenty by twenty room powered by an HK 3485. Polk RTI 25’s are matched well to this woof. Hello out there, is there anybody home? Is there anybody in there? Yes. I am downbeat-heavy- bass, dub and electronic manic depressive. Though, I never forget to play The Ventures (In Space) or Jimmy McGriff. I am an heir of the Hammond B3 and Leslie…the Wurlitzer, for heaven’s sake. Some delay issues but not enough to kill the buzz.

    5 Stars Pro-DJ Review
If you don’t know Shure’s reputation, you probably are not from this planet… This is the best scratch cartridge ever made !! Perfect sound quality, insane for scratches, loud bass response, long last standing and so on. Do not waste your time and money… GET IT RIGHT NOW !!

5 Stars Great Sound. Great Tracking
I’ll admit I haven’t listened to very many other cartridges, but these were a great replacement for the Stanton 500Bs that came with my T.60 turntables. These have more dynamic range and deliver more bass, and clear highs. The stanton 500Bs had a little bit of distortion in the treble range when playing passages with lots of bass. The Shure’s handle the same passages better, with less audible distortion. I believe part of the distortion I was hearing was due to the straight tone-arms reverberation on the T.60s. I’ve since upgraded to Technic 1200s with the S shaped tone-arms which seems to help as well.

The main advantage I’ve noticed with this stylus over the Stanton’s is the increased clearance from the bottom of the cartridge to the bottom of the stylus. I have a few warped records that I couldn’t get to play with the Stanton due to the record actually bumping into the bottom of the cartridge. The Shure’s handle these records great with an extra 2mm or so more clearance.

    5 Stars Battle Ready
These are the purfect needles for the world’s most perfect turntable, the Technique 1200’s but they are not limited to use only on 1200’s. These needles can be installed in less than a minute and the needle can handle whatever you throw at it, so you can cut your records down to the bone! The bass sound really comes through well on these babies and they track your records really well which comes in handy for records which seem worn down.
