Zune Car Pack v2

December 19, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

If you’re taking a road trip, the Zune Car Pack gives you everything you need to be your own DJ, listening to your music through your car stereo while keeping your Zune charged. This device transmits music from your Zune into an FM frequency that can be picked up by your radio tuner. You can automatically select an optimal station for broadcast using the auto-tuning Zune FM Transmitter. It often takes more than one station to stay tuned in if you drive between different regions with different stations, that’s why the Zune FM Transmitter has two presets so you can easily swap back and forth between your most commonly used broadcast stations. To keep up with a long road trip, you can charge your Zune while listening to music in the car. The magnetic storage clip allows you to keep wires out of your way, and the dashboard grip pad provides a great place to rest your device in the car. It is compatible with all Zunes.

What’s in the Box:
FM transmitter/charger, dashboard grip pad, product quick start guide, product manual.

1 Star Not even worth the sale price
I love my Zune. Love it. But I want to listen to it while I drive, particularly when I’ve downloaded a book and am traveling a distance. I put off buying this adapter due to the price for a couple of years, but when amazon put it on sale, I finally got it, and am I glad I did not pay full price. In fact, I’m kind of mad I even paid the sale price.

This product simply does not deliver. The idea is that you can tune your radio and your Zune to the same station, and voila! your Zune is playing through your car stereo. This simply does not work. There is constant interference from other channels, making the Zune sound like an out of tune radio, if you can hear it at all. If you can hear it, you notice immediately that the overall sound quality is seriously lacking. I’m going to try the old-fashioned adapter that runs through the cassette deck. Luckily, my truck has one of those!

4 Stars Good and not so good
Overall, I’m happy with the Zune transmitter BUT I drive down a major 5 lane highway with lots of traffic, so if someone is passing by or driving within a 2 or 3 car vicinity with an XM or Sirius Radio transmitter, it will get interrupted and pick up the satellite radio instead. That can be VERY annoying.

Otherwise, if you don’t drive in heavy traffic, its just perfect. A little crackly sometimes but overall fine.

4 Stars Better than I thought
Worked better than I thought and I really enjoy it. The sound is really FM, so dont think you are going to get the true hi end or low end of anything you hear. But it is what we have, and it works.

2 Stars Very Disappointing
This product would be great if it worked all the time. It works the way you would tune in to a radio station except when the station loses signal there is a lot of noise which comes through the speakers just like any other radio station that you are losing signal from. Microsoft I believe can come up with a product that works better than this. I would not recommend it. I used it for about two days and gave up could never get a steady signal so now it sits in the glove box of my car. Very disappointing.

2 Stars Not Thrilled
I bought this with high expectations after using my girlfriends highly accessorized mp3 players FM setup. That is something they are obviously doing better. I might not be so harsh on my zune except for that fact and that I often talk badly about that “other mp3 player” I rarely get to listen to my music without static. I spend more time draping the wires all over the cabin. The autofind setting seems to be vaguely accurate at best and I have tried it with the radio on and off and it finds the same stations sometimes. I don’t live in a highly urban area so I should have less competition, but the bottom line is that it just doesn’t work well. It may work well for others, but for me I will be finding another method.

3 Stars Not a bad headphone for $40
I got this new head phone and it works find for a week. Than all of the sudden on side stopped working. I switched to new AA batteries and back to normal. I guess there is something wrong with AA rechargeable batteries. I am waiting for customer service to send me anew batteries.

Overall I liked it.

3 Stars so so headphones
pros: long range, big comfortable ear covers, adjustable head strap, plugs into my tv, pc, mp3 player no problem.

cons: if volume is up too high, the sound gets staticy.

overall i would recommend these to people who aren’t looking for high quality sound but are looking for long range to move around.

5 Stars Quality Product
The wireless headphones was a gift for my sweetie. The order took no time getting here. The headphones were easy to setup and the sound is very clear. we can go all over the house and the reception is still great! I got the headphones for my sweetie to watch tv while I’m sleep because the big screen sound so loud even when the volume is low. You will not be sorry about this product.

5 Stars Very nice for the price
These headphones worked perfectly right out of the package. Very clear sound, no problems as of yet, and they are comfortable as well. If you are on a small budget like I was, these are perfect.

5 Stars Good Headphones for the price
Work great, and comfortable I don’t think you’ll get anything better for the price. The elastic strap takes care of the need to adjust for different people. These are comfortable to wear for a couple hours.

I like many others stay up later then my wife so I use these after she has gone to bed and they are perfect for that.

Altec Lansing inMotion iM413 Portable Audio System for Sansa

December 8, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

When it comes to your Sansa listening experience, there’s only one thing missing. Actually two: speakers. Thankfully, Altec Lansing has solved the problem. The inMotion iM413 is a powerful portable stereo system with surround effect technology. It is sleek - your Sansa will cradle beautifully in it. And it delivers such full-range, full-bodied sound, you’ll want to carry it around from room to room. The iM413’s twin bass-enhanced neodymium speakers really do the trick. It features a built-in FM radio and a wireless remote. And you can plug the system in or use batteries. So let your music out! The iM413 will show you how.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great Buy!!!!! Love it.
I bought this for my Sansa Fuze. I love it. Sounds great. Charges the Sansa Fuze instead of charging it through my computer. And its portable. Great price too! Very happy with it.

4 Stars InMotion iM413: Exactly what I was hoping for
While in the process of consolidating the clutter on my desktop, my wife and I decided to give this multi-functional device a try.

After receiving the system, we set it up and were impressed with the sound quality. While not as good as the 2-way bookshelf speakers I used to have on my desk, the size and versatility of the unit makes up for what it lacks in overall sound quality (it’s smaller than just one of my bookshelf speakers).

We started using our Sansa’s more frequently again as now it’s easy to simply plug it into the dock and start listening to music while we’re doing things around the house.

We also use it to watch TV on my computer as it’s in an office/den and we spend a lot of time in there. The aux input worked perfectly and my only gripe is that the system doesn’t come with a auxiliary cable and I had to go hunting around my spare cable bin for one.

Finally it was great to have the built in FM tuner because we had a separate radio in the same room that we use to leave music on for our puppy while we’re gone at work. I wish it had some presets, but otherwise it works great.

3 Stars Ok Sound quality
The sound quality from this speaker is not that great.

However for soft melodies it is good.

Tracks with good bass do not sound good.

The makers have a long way to catch up with both great headphones and great speakers.

I will recommend to buy this product if your collection of mp3 tracks are great quality and you are someone who is satisfied with sub par sound quality.

That been said, the convenience and reliability of this product is good. The remote is welcome accessory to this product.

Hope this helps

4 Stars Alted Lansing Docking Station for Sansa Fuze
It’s a quality product, and the sound all one could ask for in a modestly priced, portable receiver/amp only eleven inches long. The Sansa buyer is probably a value shopper, and this fits.

4 Stars Good speakers
Good speakers for a product that is hard to find speakers that will work for Sansa mp3 player.
