Logitech X 530 70 Watt 5 1 Surround Sound Speaker System NEW White Box

November 15, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Plug the Logitech X-530 into your PC, music player, DVD player, or even your PlayStation or Xbox game console and immerse yourself in clean, crisp, consistent surround sound from your games, movies, and more. The high-tech subwoofer adjusts itself dynamically to deliver distortion-free bass. And the five wall-mountable satellite speakers use Logitech’s patented FDD2 technology to eliminate the uneven sound response created by conventional dual-driver designs. The result: a clear, uniform sound field without the “hot spots” and inconsistency of other dual-driver satellites.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Good, but…
I bought this 5.1 speaker system for my computer, mostly to have the 5.1 capability for new games. They are about what I expected from the description and reviews.

The Good: They sound good and are easily loud enough for my 10′x10′ computer room. Controls are good, although you must keep the front right speaker within reach if you plan to use the volume control, earphone jack, or power switch.

The Bad: The cables are too short even for my small room. This seems to be the most common problem among all these speaker systems. Ideally, they should use plain old speaker wire connectors so you don’t have to spend a lot of money buying connectorized extension cables. Secondly, the vertical form factor makes them top heavy and easy to tip over, also a problem common to many other similar products.

5 Stars Great Product
Great sounding speakers, I can turn them very loud and get no fuzz. I know three other people that have purchased these speakers and none of them have any complaints about them as far as i know. For the price I dont believe a better set of speakers can be found.

5 Stars Listening to them right now
While these speakers are only 70 watts you certainly would not know it by their great big, full and rich sound. While writing this review I’m listening to music by Kitaro on Pandora and the sound is superb. I’m a little spoiled as I have an Onkyo 7.1 1000 watts surround sound system that can make the dust fall out of the rafters. But this Logitech X-530 system hooked up to my computer and sending music through Windows Media Player or Pandora you absolutely give up no quality in the sound department. No squeaking or odd and annoying vibrations just good clear and powerfully good sound. Very highly recommended!

5 Stars Great bang for your buck
These speakers blow my house out. The sub is intense; very powerful and the 5 surround sound speakers are so clear! When the speakers are turned up high, the sound does not crack and the decibel can be deafening. Make sure you have a 5.1 or above sound card before you buy speakers like these and make sure know where to place them :D

There’s nothing major in cons, except that the screen covering the speakers are really thin and can rip easy. The faceplate of the speakers and the rubber footholds on the bottom come off pretty easy too so watch out for that.

Other than that these speakers are the best for the money.

Shipping was on time, excellent packaging and exactly as they listed it. everything was neatly and tightly wrapped inside of a giant white box, which was in a bigger box. price was great for this product and i hope to buy from them again.

4 Stars I’m happy with my purchase
The speakers are a notable difference from my old ones. And the bass is a wonderful new addition. Only issues is/was, I was unaware that I need to buy another sound card to make it “Surround” sound, but thats just me being naive. But Good product, and they look cool.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Small black box, big voice…
It’s the tiny box that roars: the V6000 transmits a full-range audio signal from my laptop audio output to radios around the house (including a Tivoli Model One), even at low power levels. I had to dial down the range lest I become a neighbourhood broadcaster! With AC, USB, AAA battery options, mike and line inputs and four presets for desirable frequencies and power levels, you can’t beat the performance of this black box. It’s only likely competitor is the CCrane model (which I haven’t tried) but if you don’t mind a clean, albeit mono, sound (and why should you?), this is a terrific buy.

5 Stars Great product AND Excellent service
We received excellent service from this company and I was very happy that the item arrived sooner that was estimated.

The FM Transmitter was easy to set up and use. It worked very well - we used it for a Christmas display and had it running for about 6 weeks straight with absolutely no issues.

4 Stars Excellent coverage at full power, but a mono signal.
At its full power of 200mw, I get coverage of my small home and deck with a good signal. I don’t have a multistory house so I can’t say how it would do in that case.

Pros:

1. adjustable power output from 0 to 200mw

2. coverage of small foot print house like mine is very good—might be same for a larger house with multiple stories.

3. everything you need comes in the box: whip antenna, power brick, car cigarette lighter power plug.

4. digital display showing: power output and frequency you are on.

5. power adjustable via up/down pb

6. frequency setting is digital–no drift! — via up/down pbs for the entire FM band, not just a segment of the FM band.

7. I think the sound quality is very good.

cons:

No stereo, but at a 200mw or less power, unless you’re on top of the transmitter, a stereo signal would have lots of noise anyway. Mono channels are always low noise at low power.

Other:

The unit is credit card small, very light weight, plastic case. The digital display will go out after a few seconds so that in operation, the unit is ‘dark’ except for the small blue power on LED on the side of the unit…see the picture. The power jack, and the audio jack are on the same side–the left as you view the digital display. And the antenna jack is on the left as well.

Overall: This is a good product. The case is black plastic. I’ve used other lower power FM units and find this one to be very good step up indeed. The digital display, digital tuning–no drift–, are excellent technical features. Caution: If you must have stereo, but want larger range, go for a higher powered product..but you will then end up covering your neighborhood. I use this in a ‘fixed location’ plugged into the AC, so I can’t say how it would do in a car or on battery power.

4 Stars Needs to broadcast in stereo.
One thing the description does not tell you is, that it does not broadcast in stereo format, just mono. Otherwise i like how you can plug a mic into it and broadcast your voice live. If it could broadcast in stereo, i would have rated this product 5 stars.

2 Stars No stereo? Instant loser.
How can people that are serious about music even consider this unit with it’s lack of stereo encoding?

Please be aware before you purchase that this unit transmits in MONO.

Good for churches or maybe xmas lights where musical reproduction is secondary, but for serious broadcast or musical enjoyment? Not a chance.
