5 Stars Owned for 1 year and happy with this unit
I’ve owned this unit for a year and it’s worked very well. I recently bought a used car with a built-in XM radio and like this one better. The full display is nice with Channel ID, Artist, and Song. This unit has 30 presets (vs 12 for my built in unit). With 100+ channels, you use up presets fast. I use the cassette interface and get very good sound quality. This unit also seems to have slightly better signal reception than my built-in unit. I would buy it again.
4 Stars Good Product with nice features
This product does all it advertises and I consider it a good value for the price. This is the third XM product I have purchased and the innovations just seem to get better through time. My only slight complaint is that the light on the screen could be softer as it glares slightly even when turned down at night.
4 Stars Great radio with nice functions
This is my first satellite radio so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I can say it does everything I need. The 30 presets come in handy and the different display choices let me decide how I want to view and review the stations. The recording feature is nice I guess but I have never used it and don’t think I will ever need to use it. My only complaint is with the mounting gear. The pivot that attaches to your dash only has about a 20 degree pivot and due to the layout in my car, it was impossible to mount it and have it pivot enough for me to see the display while driving. As a result, I have to clip it to my air vent.
1 Star not working!
Radio quit working after two weeks and no audio sound at all. Is now being sent to Audiovox for repair. No reply from XM radio’s customer service after emailing them 3 days ago. I read an article yesterday that said XM is planning to file Chapter 11 soon, so I am not likely to hear from them. Looking through the reviews bad radios are common no matter which model of Audiovox you have. To bad I paid for a full year of XM already, which is non-refundable by the way.
5 Stars Better than factory XM
Unit is very easy to work. Display has lots of information and features. Using the FM connect kit (which isn’t included and costs extra) to the antenna can be problematic. As you drive area you run into radio interference from other FM stations that are in the area. You then have to retune the channel on your radio to another frequency with less interference. The direct connection unit (also available at extra cost) would not have the interference issue but could be more difficult for the home user to install. System is able to remember multiple pre-sets which is good because the display is hard to focus on while driving and can take seemingly forever to get to the channel you want. It also has the ability to show some sports scores and stock quotes which may be a useful feature. The normal installation includes plugging the powersupply into a 12 volt lighter plug in. The power supply has a 5 amp fuse in it so make sure that your lighter plug in has enough available. The receiver is detachable and has a home kit available (extra cost) that could allow you to use XM in your home or office.
This unit is better than factory because some factory units only display 10 characters and XM is now sending up to 36 characters, song title, singer, year, etc, which on factory units can look like “John Couga” singing “Little Pin” instead of “John Cougar Mellencamp” singing “Little Pink Houses”. On the other hand that can be a fun on the road game trying to guess who it is and what exactly they are singing; so to each his own!

Thought there’d be a shoulder strap on this, from the image on the page, but it’s just a sleeve with a handle. Durable material, lots of pocket space. Very good buy!
4 Stars Nice bag but not a bunch of padding.
This bag is made of a medium weight canvas material. It doesn’t seem as well padded as my old neoprene sleeve (Poppy PC Laptop Sleeve -Tangerine) but it has enough if the sleeve will be put inside another bag OR you will only be using it for light travel/commute. It’s a snug, but not too snug, fit for my 15″ MacBook Pro with Speck Products case. The pocket on the front is roomy and can hold the power adapter and/or some papers/keys/etc. Don’t get carried away though. Too much and it gapes open in between the velcro tabs. Construction seems pretty solid. Seems like the canvas would do a decent job of repelling spills, at least long enough for you to clean it up.

I got this yesterday and I was surprised how thin it was. I had to confirm that if it is well padded and carries a cord, a mouse AND a tablet. And it does! It’s only fit for your laptop and I thought the whole time it had shoulder strap. But instead you can hold it in your hands or use that side strap to carry it around. The straps are well sewed into the bag and I think it’s really noticeable that it has a laptop in it unlike Caselogic SNMB-15F 15.4-Inch Fullsize Canvas Messenger Bag with Laptop Storage (Green) and Caselogic SNMB-15 15.4-Inch Canvas Messenger Bag with Laptop Storage (Green). This is convenient to me because I needed a case that can put all the accessory together when I travel and it fits into a backpack or luggage.

This fits my wide screen laptop perfectly, not to mention it’s pretty stylish. The fit is snug, no room to move around, it is nicely padded and the canvas is a good sturdy material. The case seems well made, the seams are all strong and durable. My power cord, wireless mouse and mouse pad all fit in the outside pocket without a problem. Would highly recommend this.

I got this case because I wanted something with pockets so I could store my power cord and mouse, and this works perfectly! My laptop slides right in and fits inside snugly, and the outside pocket has plenty of room for all my accessories. The material is a nice canvas, and it’s very stylish. You carry the case vertically by the side strap, or you can fit it inside of another bag.

I’d prefer that this case fit my HP laptop a little more snugly. It’s way too loose for my HP Pavilion. A handle would also be nice. Well constructed and the zipper accessory compartment is great.

4 Stars Nice, BIG laptop sleeve
Ordered it for the extra storage area (with it’s own zipper) and I love that part about it. Could basically use it as a daily laptop case if you stick the power adapter in there.
It’s not as thick/tough as maybe some other sleeves, but in my case this is just for rare use or to cover my laptop if I need to throw it in a backpack/suitcase.
It is a lot bigger than I thought, though. I saw the measurements and figured my 15.4″ T61p with the 9cell battery would pretty much fill it up, but there is almost 1.5-2″ of room in there length wise. It’s not such a bad thing because it allows more stuff to fit in there, but if you want a firm/tight sleeve, make sure you take a close look at the measurements.

Fits my Dell Inspiron 6000, not too tightly, but maybe that’s not a bad thing (i was afraid it wouldn’t fit at all.) Not the sturdiest of cases, but does it’s job well, protecting from minor drops, damages and scratches. I also love the double ended zipper pocket, it’s great for any accessories you many have… I use it for my power cord and mouse.

I have two of these drives to backup and carry photos, documents and music and they have been very solid performers for me. Plugged in and they worked. So far have had no problems, but I make sure to backup to both just in case.

4 Stars My Passport Essential came without Protection.
I am satisfied with My Passport Essential 500gb, it work like any other size ext. hard drive except that it have more space. I over grown my 320gb. I think it should have came with a case for protection. I would have paid a little more with a case rather than buy something that’s not original. However, if you get the Elite, it comes with a case. What are they thinking, give us a choice but then it comes with a price and time wasted. I wonder why WD have to nick and dime us.

It’s very fast speed to transfer files to this Western Digital external hard drive, just plug in USB port and it runs automatically. No power supply needed. It’s so small that I can put it in my pocket to carry with me. I really like it.
