5 Stars Great delivery and great TV
I was nervous about ordering such a large item from Amazon without delivery and set-up but when the Pilot shipping subcontractor arrived (as scheduled) he brought the carton in, unpacked the TV, placed it on the stand, plugged it in, put batteries in the remote, turned on the TV, connected the HDMI cable I already had, and made sure everything worked properly - all within 10 minutes - then removed all the packing materials. I was very relieved about this service. The TV has a very crisp and detailed picture, even on non HD channels or sources. The sound is also of good quality. I am not technically brilliant and did not interconnect the TV with surround sound or tweak the picture fron the factory settings. It just looks and sounds great. It is connected to a DirecTV HD receiver and an old combo VHS/DVD player. I don’t watch enough movies to justify a blu-ray player. Both the TV and Amazon at $500 cheaper than the the Navy Exchange or Best Buy sale price with tax and great delivery service was, in my opinion, a great decision. John H.

5 Stars Great TV
For the price, couldn’t find a better deal. The picture is clear, and bright. Love it.

5 Stars Very Pleased
This is my first LCD tv. I was very nervous about buying on online. I wanted a Samsung but it seemed like it was kind of a crap shoot with getting a good one or a bad one with the rebooting issue but i decided to go for it anyway. I couldnt be more happy. I love the tv. The picture is amazing. Sound isnt that great but i use surround through an amp so doesnt effect my tv watching. The 6 or 7 series does have a better picture i know. But i myself just couldnt get past the red touch of color design. I think samsung realy dropped the ball with that whole thing they have the best picture hands down but really screwed up with that design. So i went with the 5 series and i could not be happier. Ive had my tv or a month now and no rebooting issues so ill keep my fingers crossed. I would deffinitley recommend this tv to anyone.

5 Stars Great HDTV
The new set was delivered quickly and set up was fairly easy. We love the size and picture quality.

5 Stars Value for money
We spent a lot on the internet and stores, including Walmart, Bestbuy, CircuitCity etc, to find the best LCD TV for our living room. This is a awesome TV. What a picture quality. even during the day when curtains are open the quality is noticeable. Simply great TV.

There is one downside to this model - sound system. You must buy a Home Theater system. We shopped around and got a 1000Watt 7.1 samsung theater system for $170. And now it is really great.

Price offered by Amazon was cheapest ( Please calculate total dent on your pocket including shiping and handling).

The best part was the shipping from Amazon. The guys called to schedule a delivery. They came upstairs and put the TV on the stand. Plugged the TV to ensure that it worked. What else one could want.

4 Stars AWESOME DEAL!!
This is a great television and I feel as though my money was very well spent. The picture is outstanding and very high quality. I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this particular television to anyone looking to buy a new tv.

3 Stars LN40A750 review
I enjoy the picture quality and styling, but I paid extra for the 7series to get the dlna features, and I’m disappointed in the user friendliness; while downstreaming video from computer network you can only fast forward at 2x or skip forward or backward at 20 second intervals(not very practical for long video files

4 Stars Not to worry…
Like most first time large-screen HDTV shoppers, I was worried about the ordering and delivery process, as well as the set quality itself. Well, at least in my case, it was all misplaced. Amazon.com and CEVA (NJ) handled the order flawlessly. The White-Glove delivery was as-advertised/perfect AND within 5 days of placing the order online!

Monitoring the daily price fluctuations, is worth the effort. Between Samsung’s SuperBowl advertising, and the high marks from Consumer Reports, waiting for the right price ($1322 w/shipping included) was a real test.

The LN40A750 itself, after a month of use, is a great set. The rear sub-woofer, and the LAN jack (for ‘WISELINK’) that the ‘7 Series’ have, are worth the extra money.

So relax, spend some money, and help the economy. It’s all good.

4 Stars Samsung LN40A750 - Incredible Picture
If it was’n't for the power on/off switch on the TV it would get 5 stars.

The picture is as good as I’ve ever seen. I also have a Samsung 40″ that is about 2 years old and prior to getting this TV I would have said it had a great picture also.

It’s just that power on/off switch that spoils this product.

If you ever need to turn your TV on or off without hunting for the remote this is not the unit for you. It’s “hidden” and very difficult to work and has yet to turn on/off on the first attempt.

5 Stars Samsung lna750 40 in hd tv
First of all purchased it on Amazon.com / was originally purchasing from

Circuit City but they called & would not install product due to their

immenent bankruptcy. Priced very well and it was delivered ahead of schedule.

Now for the tv….Excellent picture & sound without getting surround sound. Will purchase another 750 model for our vacation home..

5 Stars Nice Samsung LCD!!
This was the first time that we have ever purchased anything through Amazon and I couldn’t be more happy. We are re-doing our living room into a contemporary style and this absolutely makes the room. Delivery was much faster then what we expected. I placed the order on a Saturday night and we had our TV by Tuesday. The picture on this is wonderful and my boyfriend says it has the best view when it comes to sports. I would recommend this product for anyone that is looking to put a nice touch on any room!!!

5 Stars Samsung LN46A550 46 inch LCD HDTV
We love this TV and loved purchasing it from Amazon. The delivery company comes in and sets it up to make sure everything is working correctly…a nice little perk. I shopped around everywhere and this was the cheapest price. Fry’s initially looks cheaper but Amazon has no hidden costs. The price you see is what you get. Other stores add on sales tax, some recycling fee and warranty fees on to their sticker price.

Consumer reports ranked this TV second in its size (the first was another Samsung)

4 Stars great tv
I received this tv as a Samsung extended Warr replacement….I had a 50 in dlp rear proj die after 2 yrs…They sent a repairmen out twice with the wrong part…that took aprox 3.5 weeks…after the 2nd time I started calling their “executive” cust service multiple times…and I mean 15-20 calls before I was able to get results…And they won’t let you talk to anyone higher than Executive Cust service….very poor communication between the cust and the corp..I’m happy they replaced it…but the over 2 months it took was way too long…and I believe if I had not badgered them…I’d still be waiting….they could never tell me why my 50 in could not be fixed and only agreed to replace it because I got very irate with them….otherwise I’d still be waiting for some part that they could not tell me an ETA for…..This is a case of a good product brought down by bad customer service…bottom line is they fulfill the terms of the warr…but at great aggravation to the cust …but at least I did not have to pay for a new tv…and I did take a warr out on the new one…as it’s still cheaper than buying a new tv

5 Stars Amazing TV.
Not much to say really. The vendor Amazon uses to ship this item came into my house unpacked it and plugged it in to make sure everything worked. From then on, the TV has been breath taking. What a picture!

Works flawlessy and all the settings menus are very intuitive.

4 Stars Great product, shame about delivery…
After a wait that seemed like forever, my LN46A550 finally arrived today! So far I am very happy with the TV. HD cable channels and my PS3 look awesome, the SD cable channels aren’t perfect but it’s really not bad compared to other LCDs I’ve seen out there. Some people may be disappointed with only having 3 HDMI inputs, but if you have more that 3 HDMI devices to use with it then you’ll probably be buying above this price range anyway. The only negative thing I would say about this product is the sound quality. It is very “tinny” and hollow-sounding, but with a little tweaking you can get it from sounding bad to sounding fair. Better keep some money aside for a soundbar or speakers.

As I mentioned before, it seemed like it took forever for the TV to arrive. I was VERY disappointed in the shipping company that Amazon used - Pilot Freight. I ordered the TV on February 28th, and Amazon had an estimated delivery date of March 9th. That day came and went, and I’m not usually that fussy about this kind of thing, but I thought I’d give Pilot a call figuring it would just be another day or two. They informed me that they had received the shipping information from Amazon but not the TV itself. I called Amazon, and they told me the TV was handed over to Pilot on March 3rd - the 1st weekday after I placed the order. They called Pilot directly for me, and was told that Pilot would physically search their warehouse for it. So basically Pilot lost the TV for over a week, and frankly it probably would’ve been a lot longer had I not called. They either recovered it or sent a new one - I was not told either way - but it finally showed up today (the 18th). So it basically took twice as long as estimated.

Then today when it finally arrived, I was expecting the delivery guys to bring it in, unpack it and plug it in to make sure it worked before they left, and take away the empty box - all as advertised as the “white glove service”. White glove service it was not. Only one guy showed up so I had to help unload it from the truck and bring it in - I didn’t have a problem helping and the delivery guy was cool so it was all good, but if I had been a pregnant woman on an old guy then I would’ve been screwed. It also made me concerned from a liability standpoint - If it got damaged during shipping, they could now blame it on me since I handled it during the shipping process. Anyway, we brought it in, I signed the paperwork, and he left. That was it. Didn’t even take it out of the box. It even said on the shipping label “Amazon special - 2 man delivery”. Fortunatly it works fine, which is good because if I had to send it back I would probably have to wait another month to get a replacement.

To be honest, it was free shipping, so I’m not going to get that upset about it, and Amazon’s customer service was great throughout it all, but I definatly won’t be ordering anything else from anywhere that ships through Pilot - incompetant through and through.

All-in-all, this was a great deal on what is probably the best mid-priced TV available (ranked #2 on Consumer Reports for this size range, second only to the LN46A650). I am very happy with the product, just be warned that you get what you pay for with the shipping.

5 Stars Love this TV!
I recently purchased the 32″ TV in the 550 series, and I have to say that I absolutely love it. I really liked the fact that this model had 3 HDMI inputs and a USB port for music and pictures. I know some have stated that 1080 in this size is a waste of money, but as a gamer I can honestly say that the image in this model is simply amazing. Even when watching DVDs without up-conversion the image is sharp and crisp. I have read other reviews that state that the sound in this TV is bad, to that I have to say that I disagree with them. I sit around 7 feet away from the TV, and I only have the sound 1/4 of the way! The sound is even louder when the source is an HDMI cable. Therefore, if you are in the market for a smaller TV, this is an excellent choice.

5 Stars Slow Delivery
I have previously purchased the same model of Samsung TV in the 37″ size for my family room, so I knew it was a really great TV. So, I purchased the 32″ model for my bedroom on February 15. And, then I waited and waited for it to arrive. Finally after 3 weeks, I was called for the delivery to be made. Although I had been told that the TV would only be delivered to my front door, the delivery person brought it in, unpacked it and set it up in my bedroom! He made sure it was working properly and even took away the box and packaging materials! What terrific service!

Even though I was really annoyed by the slow delivery, the service was terrific! All in all, I was really pleased. And, the Samsung TV is a wonderful product…sharp, clear. And, with Amazon’s great price, what’s not to like?

1 Star Worst shipping ever
I ordered this product on February 24th, The item says Free Shipping and will not allow you to change the shipping speed // option. For an 800$ TV you would expect amazon to use a decent carrier. My package has sat in Elk Grove Village since the 27th Pilot, the carrier Amazon uses to ship the package has done nothing with it since then. I have called today March 4th ( The day it was suppose to be delivered according to amazon ) They had not even contacted a now 4th party to deliver the package to my home which I can not even set up an appointment with until Tomorrow so Its going to take what 3-4 more days before I receive it? I will never order a item this size from amazon again unless I can change shipping speed.

4 Stars As good as expected
Product arrived timely and in excellent condition. Install was easy with no problems. Sound is OK but not excellent. Will probably obtain speakers at a later date. Would recommend this LCD TV highly. Based on all reviews and research, I am happy with this choice and would purchase another Samsung TV and purchase through Amazon. It is an easy process with the Amazon online purchase program.

5 Stars Excellent Quality
I had spent several months shopping around, researching plasma versus LCD, looking at various brands and models, etc. I finally settled on this Samsung, despite being concerned about how well it would perform with my PS3, since that’s what I would be using it for. All I can say is that it works spectacularly not only as a HDTV for DVD and Blu-Ray movies, but it also makes my gaming experience great.

There are plenty of connection ports (for what my needs, anyway) and options to adjust the picture quality. I initially went with component cables, but since the PS3 will only upscale using HDMI, I bought a cheap cable off Amazon and my old DVDs look just as good as my BR movies (well, for the most part).

I also use this tv as my computer monitor and I can’t say I’ve had any problems there, either.

The only downside, as others have mentioned, is the sound quality from the speakers. But, if you’re going to be shelling out money for an HDTV, you might as well spend a little more and get some decent sounding surround sound speakers to go along with it. So, for me, the speakers on this tv aren’t really a factor.

For the size, quality and price, I think I made a wise choice.
