5 Stars Unbelievably long-lasting
Yes, this battery is expensive, but not
considering what it does. I really expected
maybe 5 hours from it, given that it’s “only”
about twice as big as the standard one hour model.
In fact, I got 7 to 11 hours off of a full charge,
depending on whether it was being used to
record (7) or play/edit (11). This was phenomenal,
as I was away from electricity for 5 days at a time.
Bulky? Yeah. But consider the bulk of 10 standard batts!
I keep the stock battery handy, for when I need to use the
viewfinder…but this battery’s staying power blew me away…
1 Star Help me place an order
If someone at Amazon.com would, please assist me with placing an order, I sure would appreciate it very very much. I don’t know anywhere else to try to get anybody’s attention. So I am writing to ya from this placement.
Thanks.

5 Stars Should have came with the camera!
This is a nice battery! It should have come w/ the camera in the first place, not that tiny little battery!! This one lasts like 615 minutes or so…it’s just about 3″ long though! Nice, and must have for the Sony!
5 Stars BUY GENUINE SONY PRODUCTS !
I bought a off brand for $70 thinking I would save $ and was told it would work fine, WRONG, it was a waste of $ and time, genuine sony is the best, BUY THE REAL SONY BATTERY !! AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !
5 Stars Great battery
Product received on time and in good condition. This is a great battery. It’s more than enough recording time for the length of any vacation or event. It’s much bigger than the standard battery that comes with most products, but what do you expect? In this case, size does matter if you want more recording time. For my Sony SR12 hard drive camcorder, recording at the highest resolution, the battery can record for up to 7-8 hours. I haven’t had a chance to test it, but that’s what the display shows.
The battery does take overnight to charge, but that’s no big deal as you won’t need to charge it too often.

2 Stars very frustrating
Used this with my HDR-SR11. It definitely keeps the camera dry — no sign of leakage whatsoever. It worked well on my first trial in a heated pool. Sound quality underwater would be great except that it is punctuated by frequent clicking sounds, which are super annoying and wreak havoc on the volume auto-gain circuit. The clicking sound doesn’t happen when filming out of the water.
However, the worst problem is with the unit fogging up. On the boat or in Hanauma bay, the unit totally fogged up after a few minutes, which made any further shooting impossible. This is even with proper application of the anti-fogging solution and using a new desiccant packet.
So, you need to either load the camera into the underwater housing on a really low-humidity day, or plan to film only in very warm water or only for a few minutes.
The foldout underwater viewfinder works great at night, but is all but impossible to see during the day. I could only aim my shots by sighting along the barrel of the camera and avoiding fancy zooming.
The rear of the housing has more than ample room to accommodate an oversize battery. Sadly there is no way to add a wide-angle conversion lens in the front.
5 Stars Awesome Product
I have used this on the water a couple of times and love it. I bought it to put in my whitewater kayak and film on the river and it has jumped around in that kayak and has barely any wear to show for it. Only thing I noticed is the piece that pops out so you can view what you are filming fogs easily. It comes with some defogging liquid that I need to add to it to see if that helps.
5 Stars A must have for beach vacations!!
We bought this item for our trip to Myrtle Beach, and could not be happier with it. It worked perfectly - my husband took the camera out into the ocean and even got some underwater video. From the ocean to building sandcastles on the beach, our camera stayed completely dry and sand free. It was a tad difficult at times to see the video camera’s display screen because of the sun, but if you shielded it with your other hand, you could see it. This product helped us get some great video with our brand new video camera. I recommend it for anyone planning to take video near the water.
5 Stars the best of fun
I was afraid at start to put the 1000$ camera under water, but it paid off.
Easy to use, great videos. only minos is that you can not play what you recorded while the camera is in the case. you can switch to play mode, but not play.
5 Stars Great product for snorkling or pool activities
I bought this for my Sony HD HDR-SR12. I went on vaca to Mexico and wanted it mostly for snorkeling. it worked great except for the minor fogging of the front interior of the sports pack. This was easily fixed with the use of the anti fog lubricant that it comes with. ( i forgot to apply before i used it the the 1st time) But besides that its awesome. Links up perfectly with my macbook and Imovie and Idvd.

3 Stars OK camera, not what I was hoping for.
I found this camera for a price that made it worthwhile to try. And I tried it. I wouldn’t say it was disappointing, but definitely not what I wanted. I am very much a point & shoot type of photographer–as you’ll see in my limited lingo below.
My findings:
Pros:
Smart capture is a nice feature that automatically determines the best settings for whatever you’re trying to take a picture of. (Great for point & shoot types).
Button placement is pretty intuitive.
Cons:
There is no viewfinder. This is of course a preference thing, but I found it hard for taking pictures in direct sunlight and in night shots (high amount of pixelation and streaking on screen).
The USB cord was very flimsy and easily damaged.
In many reviews I’ve read, there are a lot of complaints about the battery life. My only issue about the batteries is that after about 40 shots, the start-up and lag time between shots increased significantly–many missed opportunities.
Most of my night shots came out blurry, even though the camera was on a steady surface. Close-up night shots came out highly pixelated.
Face capture never worked (although this might be user error).
5 Stars Very Nice Camera
The past year, I have been searching for the perfect camera and I can finally say that I am done buying and returning cameras. I have purchased so many digital cameras and gave them to my daughter if I wasn’t able to return or sell them. I love all the features on this high tech camera and it meets all my needs. I don’t have to be an expert on taking pictures, because the camera does everything for you with the smart capture features and it automatically detects the right lighting mode for you. I also love all the extra features that come on this camera. I won’t be buying another camera for a long time. The pictures are very nice. The only complaint that I have about this camera is that it is very bulky and I wish that it was one of the slimmer models, because I like to carry my camera every where I go and it’s always in my purse, but other than that, I am very satisfied.
5 Stars Good Value
I’m not a camera expert, but I have owned several digital cameras. I had a C model previous to this one and used it for a few years with no problems. It took beautiful pictures and the zoom features were exceptional. The battery in this model so far has held up much better. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.
The company shipped it very quickly - the shipping packaging was not the best but the camera was new in the box.
2 Stars Not very happy
Saw and bought this camera on one of the TV shopping networks. Bought two of them; one for me and one as a gift for Christmas. The blown up pictures they showed looked vivid and sharp. What they don’t tell you is that this camera eats up batteries big time. It takes two AA batteries and they last about 10 - 20 minutes (Alkaline), depending on how many pics you take and if you’re zooming in and out. Definitely not the camera I want to take on vacation. I’d be spending 20% of my time changing batteries. And about the 14 Megapixels; if you’re not going to blow up pictures any larger than 8″ x 10″, anything over 3 megs is a waste. You can get many 5 meg cameras (and even higher) for around the same price and you can be sure the batteries will last 10 or more times longer than this camera. I haven’t downloaded any pictures on the computer yet, but they do look really sharp and the colors are vivid on the camera. It probably does take very good pictures, but having to change batteries all the time is costly and very frustrating when you’re outside taking pictures of nature or sports, etc. And again if you’re not going to blow up your pictures, you are wasting your money on a 14 meg camera when a 5-8 meg camera will do the trick. The more the megs, the shorter the battery life, rule of thumb. I wish I would have done my homework and read the reviews before I bought, because I never would have bought this camera had I done so.
One more thing. I tried to view the pictures I took on our HDTV with the USB cable that comes with the camera and the TV read “No Signal.” If you read the reviews, many people are saying the USB cord looks flimsy and easily damaged. I haven’t tried another cable yet, but I’d like to see the pictures from this camera on HDTV as I’m sure they should be sharp and clear. I REALLY want to like this camera, but…
5 Stars With the CORRECT Battery, a Fantastic Little Camera…
I’ve been using the Kodak Z712 for the past couple years and LOVE it. However for vacations, it was a bit bulkier then I liked. I didn’t want to downsize from a 12X zoom to a 3X, so I just continued using it till something else caught my attention. Enter the Z1485. An AWESOME little camera.
I received the camera in mid-December. I used the battery that came with it, a non-rechargeable KLIC-8000 Li-Ion. It lasted about a month, all through Christmas (during which I took MANY pictures) and regular daily pics (I have an 11 month old, so I take a lot!). I just changed the battery a few days ago to a rechargeable KLIC-8000 Li-Ion. If you purchase this camera, MAKE SURE you buy the correct battery for it. Of course it’s going to suck up regular AA batteries, it’s a powerful little point and shoot.
The picture clarity is fantastic (keep in mind, I’m just a casual picture taker. Day-to-day pics of my son, and family trips). All the pics I’ve downloaded to my Kodak program and printed out have come out beautifully. I normally use the smart-scene, but sometimes (like during Christmas) I use other settings, like the candle light setting for pics of the Christmas tree. They came out perfect, all nice and soft. The size of the camera itself is perfect…I actually bought an ipod jogging case for it so I can wear it around my wrist or arm during vacations (nice to always have the camera handy), and it fit just fine.
I’ve always used Kodak for their simple no-brainer approach to picture taking, and this camera fits that to a tee. I’m so glad I upgraded. I’ll always love my Z712, but this little guy has everything I need. PLEASE do not be dissuaded by the mediocre reviews here. Most people know NOT to put regular AA batteries in a digital camera. It sucks the life out of them in no time. With the proper batteries, this camera is light, clear, and does an all around GREAT job!

5 Stars I had an idea…
I was looking for Wedding Cameras… and then I found this
perfect product. I loved the price and I decide to do my own
personalized paper cover.
5 Stars They produce Fantastic High Quality Prints!
Wow what a great idea. I’m now a regular user of Fuji One time use Cameras, they are great to take out with friends, parties, housewarmings, just about anywhere! The idea of buying these in bulk (10 pack) sounds good for the Photographer in your family!
4 Stars good quality but never the best…
I used this brand of single use camera recently and the pictures came out fairly well. I like the idea of a ten pack for people who love to snap lots of photos on vacations and other social occasions. Oh, sure, the quality of the pictures won’t be 100% as good as the pictures you would get from a digital camera or a standard, more expensive 35 mm camera. Actually, the pictures these Fuji cameras take are slightly grainier than the Kodak single use cameras. Sigh.
The camera is very lightweight so you can carry several at a time in a bag as you travel. I especially like the built in flash that is easy to use. According to Amazon, the flash range is about 10 feet. I think that’s about right.
The camera is a single use camera; this means that after you use it you take the entire camera to the place where you can get film developed; they will take care of the rest. No worrying about whether or not you removed the roll of film negatives correctly without exposing them to too much light. The film speed is 400, so keep that in mind when choosing this camera. A faster speed such as 800 may be preferable.
Overall, this is a good camera for the many, many people who want to travel light or who are on a budget. It is compact and easy to carry; keep one in the glove compartment of your car just in case there’s an accident and you need to take pictures of the scene. The camera is also affordable. I give it four stars instead of five simply because the picture quality just isn’t the best.
2 Stars Quick delivery-Lousy photos
Amazon delievered as quick as could be in time for our wedding. It was a last minute idea to get disposable cameras for guests to take their own photos. Well, they got used, but the quality was really bad…most of the frames didn’t wind properly, so we wound up with 2 scenes on the same photo. They didn’t do well in low light either. Wasn’t worth the expensive price of processing. Oh well…
